Welcome to the 2012 OLE Election Series! After much anticipation, it is finally here. As we get closer to the 2012 presidential election, there is sure to be much buzz, discussion of current events, and, of course, numerous learning opportunities.

The 2012 OLE Election Series is your guide to the latest, greatest, and basics that surround the election period. We created this series for teachers and students to find easy access and content to help guide them through the 2012 election. We will be presenting information in the same way we provide all Pearson OLE content, in a simple and easy-to-understand way. This will help not only teachers, but also students to better understand the processes and events that take place in our government.

We’ll be rolling out features throughout the 2012 presidential election, so there’s much to be anticipated. Some of the features included in the series are already live and ready for viewing, while others will post as the 2012 election progresses. Here’s a quick look at what’s included:

Articles, images, videos, and easy-to-read content will be available at your fingertips to refresh your knowledge on government policy, history, and current standards taking place.

Who’s that one guy on the news? Here, you can see pictures and read profiles of all the major candidates in the 2012 election.

We’ll keep you up to date with current events, electoral calendar dates, classroom activities, and links to trusted content.

Classroom Activities

Make the election fun and useful in the classroom. We’ll have ideas, activities, and entertainment to make the most out of this year’s presidential election.
